New Year, new you

Why you should make 2019 the year you learn traditional taekwondo in classes run for women, by women

(Re-)discover how powerful your body can be and what training it can achieve with MAUL’s classes for women. Whether you’re looking to take up an activity for your new year’s resolution, get back into fitness after time off or want to vary your habitual exercise regime, we welcome all comers. Your first session is FREE.

Where and when

  • When: Tuesdays and Fridays, 7.40pm – 8.40pm
  • Where: Queen Edith’s Primary School hall
  • What to wear: loose tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt (don’t worry about footwear, we go barefoot)
  • How much: first session is FREE, then £5 per class or less
  • Questions? Please do get in touch

We train in a private space so that you and other women can enjoy learning a new skill, the camaraderie of our martial arts community and a new appreciation for your body. Our instructors are all volunteers – it’s for us, not for profit.

Socials

We also have a monthly social event that is alcohol-free and caters to a wide variety of dietary requirements. Socials for the coming months are in our online calendar and include:

  • Film nights
  • After-class meals (some people just get dessert or a drink)
  • Special occasions such as ‘Galentine’s Day’

In July 2018, some of us even went on our first training camp for four days in Brittany, which was awesome.
